Job Role & Summary

Responsible for the facilitation of behavioral health services surrounding identified need areas. BHT will also be responsible for the implementation of the Individualized Treatment Plan as developed by the Behavior Consultant, documentation of therapeutic experience via report writing and some communication with referral sources and other professionals, and to provide an environment conducive to wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans
  • Coordinate scheduling appointments
  • Provide for the safety, security, and appropriate social interaction and social behavior of all youth in the program.
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions and maintain appropriate communication with significant others.
  • Maintain professional documentation duties
  • Facilitate appropriate discipline through therapeutic intervention as needed and educate parents on same re-directive skills and techniques.

Qualifications

IBHS Qualifications: Staff members who provide Behavioral health technician services will meet one of the following criteria:

  1. 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services, or
  2. High-School diploma / equivalent AND have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT task list, or
  3. Certification as a BCaBA, or
  4. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or
  5. Certification as a Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT), or
