Job Role & Summary
The Program Director for the partial hospitalization program is the lead clinician within the treatment environment and responsible for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of all aspects of the clinical treatment course of the therapeutic milieu. Duties include clinical supervision of all direct care counseling staff, oversight of all clinical assessment/treatment planning processes, consultation with psychiatric professional staff and collaboration with the Director of Clinical Quality, Program Supervisors Regional Clinical Coordinator of Outpatient Service, and Regional Administrative Coordinator of Outpatient Services to provide an atmosphere conducive to wellness and to ensure programmatic goal attainment.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of all components of the therapeutic milieu
- Clinical supervision of Program Caseworkers and Program Supervisors
- Collaboration with Management in hiring, supervising, and discharging all employees of the partial hospitalization program
- Provide staff training to maintain and enhance the professional development and clinical competency of the Program Supervisors and Program Caseworkers
- Conduct specialized individual, group and/or family therapy sessions when necessary
- Oversee all utilization of Emergency Safety Interventions with program clients and ensure appropriate training and qualifications of all staff implementing DTAC techniques
- Review of clinical documentation completion
- Continually assess clinical functioning of the program and communicate plans for improvement to Management
- Maintain relevant communication with the Manangement in regards to programmatic functioning and clinical treatment milieu.
- Participate in client/family intake interviews
- Ensure appropriateness of clinical treatment environment and maintain physical safety of all clients within the program
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in a generally recognized clinical field such as counseling, psychology, social work, etc. License preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Sufficient training and experience related to provision of clinical supervision and program development
- Minimum two years of previous supervisory experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in the area of child/adolescent behavioral health care services
