DTAC of Ohio provides sex offender-specific residential treatment for males ages 8 to 18. This highly structured program utilizes trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and milieu therapy. It includes individual, family, and group interventions, focusing on accountability, improving interpersonal relationships, and addressing sexual offending behaviors. The typical program duration is 9-12 months.
Our Residential Treatment Programs
Why choose residential treatment for adolescents? According to the National Institutes of Health, inpatient treatment for adolescents with mental health issues is effective in stabilizing symptoms. At DTAC, our residential treatment facilities are licensed and accredited in order to provide the highest-quality treatment for our clients.
Our Residential Treatment Facilities are dually licensed by the Department of Human Services’ Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and Office of Children Youth and Families, accredited by the Joint Commission. These specialized residential treatment facilities provide intensive psychiatric clinical services to emotionally distressed and behaviorally impaired children, adolescents, and their families referred by the family, child welfare, and/or mental health systems in a non-institutional, rural setting. Our unique accreditation and programming ensure that DTAC can serve more clients with fewer funding barriers. Funding is provided through County Child Serving Agencies, and Medicaid is accepted. DTAC’s residential programs are fully PREA compliant, for more information, see here.
